Filament CPE ANTIBAC 1.75 mm 0.5 kg
Fiberlogy CPE ANTIBAC is a filament designed for environments with high hygienic requirements. Thanks to its silver nanoparticle content, it eliminates 100% of Escherichia coli bacteria and more than 90% of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This material is ideal for sterilisable prints and applications requiring cleanliness. In addition to antibacterial properties, it offers high mechanical strength, thermal resistance and chemical stability, making it suitable for technical and functional applications.
Key Features
Antibacterial Effects
- Silver nanoparticle content provides long-term protection against bacteria.
- Ideal for applications in environments with high hygienic requirements.
Thermal and Chemical Resistance
- Thermal resistance up to 110 °C (short-term). For long-term use, we recommend the HDT value (99 °C at 0.45 MPa).
- High chemical resistance to UV radiation, fats and other substances.
Mechanical Strength
- Tensile strength at break: 58 MPa.
- Tensile modulus: 1548 MPa.
- Elongation at break: 185%, ensuring flexibility and durability of parts.
Safety and Ecology
- Free from BPA, BPS and styrenes.
- Odourless during printing.
Recommended Print Parameters
- Nozzle temperature: 260–280 °C
- Bed temperature: 110–120 °C
- Enclosed chamber: Not required
- Fan: 0–25%
- Print speed: < 100 mm/s
- Filament drying: 60 °C for 4 hours
Note: Due to strong adhesion to the build plate, it is recommended to use protective products such as Dimafix or Magigoo. Direct printing on glass or unprotected build plate may cause damage.
Technical Specifications
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- Diameter tolerance: ±0.02 mm
- Ovality tolerance: +0.01 mm
- Spool weight: 0.5 kg
- Material density: 1.18 g/cm³
Usage Warning
- The effectiveness of the antibacterial effect (100% elimination of Escherichia coli and more than 90% of Staphylococcus aureus) may vary depending on specific conditions of use.
- Thermal resistance up to 110 °C applies to short-term use; for long-term load, we recommend the HDT value (99 °C at 0.45 MPa).
- The material is hygroscopic – store it in a dry environment and dry before printing (60 °C for 4 hours).
Applications
CPE ANTIBAC is an ideal choice for applications requiring hygienic protection:
- Public spaces: Prints such as light switches, door handles or buttons.
- Medical environment: Clinical equipment, accessories or sterilisable components.
- Electronics: Keyboards, pin pads or device covers.
- Household: Kitchen accessories (e.g. pot handles) or elements exposed to dirt.
Usage Recommendations
- Before starting printing, perform test prints to verify optimal retraction settings (1-2 mm for direct extruder; 4-6 mm for Bowden).
- Use products like Dimafix or Magigoo to ensure optimal adhesion to the build plate.
- Store the filament in a dry environment and regularly dry it before printing to maintain its quality.
Why Choose CPE ANTIBAC?
Fiberlogy CPE ANTIBAC offers a unique combination of antibacterial properties, high mechanical strength and thermal resistance. It is an ideal choice for applications in medicine, public spaces and households thanks to its ability to eliminate bacteria and provide long-term hygienic protection.
