PC

Polycarbonate (PC) is a highly strong and durable thermoplastic material that is used in demanding technical applications and industrial sectors. This material is characterized by extremely high strength, heat and impact resistance, making it ideal for use in environments where high mechanical durability and stability are required.

Polycarbonate is known for its ability to withstand high temperatures, with a glass transition temperature of around 147 °C, which means it retains its mechanical properties even at higher temperatures. Due to its durability, polycarbonate is able to absorb energy without cracking, making it suitable for applications where safety and impact strength are needed. It is used, for example, in the production of protective helmets, safety glasses, and machine covers.

Another advantage of polycarbonate is its good optical transparency, which allows its use in optical applications such as lenses, light covers, and transparent covers for electronic devices. Polycarbonate is also resistant to many chemicals and has good electrical insulation properties, making it suitable for use in electrical and electronic components.
