Nylon (PA) - Spectrum

Nylon (Polyamide) is a popular synthetic polymer that is used primarily for industrial applications due to its specific properties. It is very strong and mechanically resistant, has a high melting temperature, and is slightly elastic.

Its various variants can differ diametrically in some basic properties, such as material creep. A disadvantage of nylon is its high hygroscopicity, which means it easily absorbs moisture from the environment. This needs to be taken into account during its storage and potential use of a fiber dryer.

For printing more complex shapes, it is necessary to use a special print surface, such as garolite (G10, G11), or special adhesives designed for this material. Commonly used adhesives and print surfaces are usually not sufficient.
