Professional Lab PETG Filament
For makers who are reaching the limits of PLA but want to avoid the challenges of printing with ABS, PETG is an excellent solution. Professional Lab PETG is designed for creating mechanically durable and functional parts. It combines toughness, higher temperature and chemical resistance with an ease of printing similar to PLA.
Unlike the more brittle PLA, PETG offers significantly better flexibility and impact resistance. Thanks to its low shrinkage and strong layer adhesion, printing large and complex models is predictable and does not require an enclosed print chamber. This makes it a suitable choice for printing parts for your printer, workshop organisers, electronics enclosures, and other technical components that need to be durable.
Mechanical and Temperature Resistance
The properties of this material make it suitable for real-world applications, not just for decorative models.
- Strength and Toughness: With a tensile strength of 50–70 MPa and high flexibility (elongation up to 300%), this material is suitable for parts subjected to mechanical stress and impacts.
- Temperature Resistance: Prints retain their shape and strength up to a temperature of approximately 85 °C, which is significantly higher than standard PLA.
- Chemical Stability: The material is resistant to oils, common acids, and alkalis, expanding its range of applications in workshop and outdoor environments.
Reliability and Ease of Printing
Professional Lab PETG is optimised for trouble-free printing with consistent results.
- Low Shrinkage and Stability: The material shows minimal tendency to warp, which facilitates printing on open-frame printers.
- Strong Layer Adhesion: Individual layers bond firmly, resulting in strong and cohesive prints along all axes.
- Glossy and Smooth Surface: Prints have a naturally glossy surface that effectively hides layering and looks professional.
Recommendations for Best Results
- The Importance of Drying: PETG is a hygroscopic material (it absorbs moisture from the air). To prevent issues such as stringing or reduced strength, we recommend drying the filament before printing (70–85 °C for 4–8 hours).
- Compatibility with AMS Lite: This spool has a larger centre hole diameter (75 mm). For seamless use in the Bambu Lab AMS Lite system, the manufacturer recommends printing an adapter.

Recommended Print Settings
- Nozzle Temperature: 230–250 °C
- Bed Temperature: 80–90 °C
- Print Speed: 30–70 mm/s
- Cooling: Low to medium (0–70%); for maximum part strength, it is better to reduce cooling.
Note: The specified values are recommendations and may vary depending on the specific printer and conditions. It is always a good idea to start with these values and fine-tune them to achieve optimal results.
