Polylactic acid printing filament, commonly known as PLA, is one of the most popular materials used in home 3D printing.
PLA is derived from crops such as corn and sugarcane, is biodegradable, and considered a filament from renewable resources.
Because it can be printed at low temperatures, doesn't even require a heated print pad, doesn't warp, and is tolerant of printing setups, it's suitable for beginners. It is very inexpensive, non-toxic and virtually no toxic fumes are produced during 3D printing, it is also safe for children. It is also one of the most environmentally friendly filaments available on the market today.
A nice rich black color with a slightly glossy finish.
The printing filament is spooled on a spool, vacuum packed with a moisture absorber.
Features:
- easy to print
- inexpensive
- biodegradable
- non-toxic
- virtually fume and odour free
- low temperature and chemical resistance
- relatively fragile and relatively weak
- suitable for beginners and children
