  • Regular cleaning - To maintain good adhesion, clean the surface with soap and water to remove dust and grease.
  • Restoring adhesion - If the adhesion of the textured surface decreases, you can restore it by carefully sanding with fine sandpaper (600 grit recommended).
  • Removing bubbles - If bubbles appear on the underside of the smooth PEI film, heating it to a temperature of at least 80°C for several hours will help.
  • Caution with acetone - Never clean the PEI surface with acetone as it will damage it.
  • Use original adhesive - For good results and to prevent damage, use only official Bambu Lab adhesive.

Care and maintenance

The Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate is considered a consumable part that gradually wears out with normal use. To maximise its lifespan, it is important to follow these principles:

  • Regularly clean the surface with mild soap and water to remove dust and grease.
  • Avoid using acetone, which could damage the PEI layer.

Despite careful maintenance, the plate will show signs of wear over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects identified upon delivery. Normal wear, scratches, dents or cracks resulting from use are not covered by the warranty.
