Silicone socks - Material - Silicone

The silicone sock ensures insulation of the heating block, which increases the heating efficiency and temperature stability of the heating block, reduces heat radiation to the surroundings (the print itself, 3D printed parts of the hotend).

The socks are most commonly made of heat-resistant silicone and their use is suitable up to a temperature of 280 °C. At higher printing temperatures, it is necessary to remove the silicone sock.
