The PolyLite™ ABS filament is an excellent 3D printing material for perfect results. It's an ideal choice for customers seeking high-quality printing material with outstanding properties and reduced odor. Its versatility and reliability make it a great option for 3D printing in areas such as prototyping, modeling, and technical applications.

Polymaker's PolyLite™ ABS is made from ABS resin, which undergoes a special polymerization process, resulting in significantly lower volatile content compared to traditional ABS resins. This ensures excellent print quality with minimal odor during printing.

Main Advantages of Polymaker's PolyLite™ ABS Filament:

  1. Excellent Print Quality: PolyLite™ ABS filament provides precise and detailed prints with smooth surfaces. Its characteristics make it ideal for printing complex geometries and technical components.
  2. Low Odor: Unlike common ABS resins, PolyLite™ ABS has a milder aromatic odor, meaning less unpleasant smell during printing. This is particularly advantageous when printing in indoor spaces.
  3. Compatibility with Various 3D Printers: PolyLite™ ABS is suitable for a wide range of 3D printers. Depending on the size of the models you wish to print, you can use it on open printers with heated beds and a printing temperature around 90-100 °C or on enclosed printers with actively heated chambers for larger models.

Tips for Usage:

Polymaker's PolyLite™ ABS filament is an ideal choice for printing mechanical parts, robotics, functional prototypes, or replacement parts for household appliances. Thanks to its excellent quality and reliability, you can confidently tackle even more demanding projects. To achieve the best results when printing larger parts, we recommend using appropriate bed adhesion techniques to minimize deformations and warping.

  1. Proper Bed Adhesion: We recommend using bed adhesion aids such as Dimafix or Magigoo to ensure strong adhesion of the print to the bed and to minimize deformations or warping.
  2. Post-processing: If you aim for a smoother surface, you can lightly sand the PolyLite™ ABS filament or chemically smooth it using acetone. When using acetone, please exercise caution and follow safety precautions.
  3. Storage and Drying: To preserve the quality and mechanical properties of prints, it is recommended to store PolyLite™ ABS in a dry environment, such as a PolyBox™. If the material becomes damp, you can dry it at a temperature of 70 °C for 6 hours.

Hotend.cz Recommendations

Specific printing conditions may vary based on your 3D printer, slicer settings, and the environment in which you are printing. For optimal results, test the material (temperature tower, flow calibration, etc.) and fine-tune your printing parameters to your needs.

The values recommended by the manufacturer serve as a foundation for your own testing; however, you certainly do not have to restrict print speeds according to the manufacturer's values, especially on fast printers like Voron or Bambu Lab.

ABS filament, in general, is not recommended for beginners in 3D printing, and except for a few specific cases, it's necessary to print in an enclosure or enclosed printers like Voron. If you are new to 3D printing and don't have a specific reason to use ABS (such as temperature resistance), consider looking at PLA or PET-G instead.

Safety Notice:

When printing with Polymaker's PolyLite™ ABS filament, it's recommended to print in a well-ventilated area and follow all safety recommendations. When handling acetone or other chemical substances, adhere to relevant safety precautions.
