The Polymaker PC-ABS filament is a top-tier 3D printing material that offers a combination of ABS and polycarbonate advantages. This material is an excellent solution for customers requiring higher strength, temperature resistance, and impact resistance. With its help, you can create robust and durable objects suitable for engineering applications, modeling, and prototype manufacturing.

Polymaker PC-ABS is developed using advanced technologies to provide quality and stable printing results. Thanks to a special production process, this filament offers an optimal combination of mechanical properties and ease of processing.

Main Advantages:

  1. Resistance and flexibility in one: The combination of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) gives this material high impact resistance and at the same time flexibility, making it ideal for printing strong, yet flexible parts.
  2. Temperature Resistance: PC-ABS has high resistance to temperature changes, meaning that products made from this material will not easily deform or melt at high temperatures.
  3. Wide range of applications: Due to its properties, PC-ABS is suitable for various applications, from technical parts to aesthetic projects.

Usage Tips:

Polymaker PC-ABS is ideal for engineering applications, manufacturing demanding prototypes and parts requiring increased temperature and impact resistance. For the best printing results, we recommend using a closed printer and the correct print parameters.

  • Proper bed adhesion: Due to the high temperature resistance of PC-ABS, we recommend using special adhesives for the bed (Dimafix) or special printing beds.
  • Postprocessing: Surface treatments can include sanding, polishing, or chemical smoothing, but use caution.
  • Storage and drying: To keep the material in the best condition, store it in a dry environment. If it gets wet, drying is recommended.

Recommendations from Hotend.cz:

Specific print conditions may vary depending on your 3D printer, the slicer used, and the environment in which you print. For best results, test the material (temperature tower, flow calibration, etc.) and fine-tune the print parameters to your needs.

The manufacturer's recommended values serve as a basis for your testing, but you certainly don't have to limit the print speed on fast printers like Voron or Bambu Lab according to the manufacturer's recommended values.

ABS filament is generally not suitable if you are new to 3D printing, and in all but a few specific cases, you need to print in a box or in closed printers like Voron. If you are just starting out with 3D printing and don't have a specific reason for wanting ABS (e.g., temperature resistance), consider PLA or PET-G instead.

Safety Warning: When printing with Polymaker PC-ABS filament, it is recommended to print in a ventilated room and follow all the manufacturer's safety recommendations.
