What is Voron

Voron is an open-source project for developing 3D printers. It was founded in 2015. The founder of the project, Maks Zolin (Russiancatfood), wanted to create a printer without compromises, reliable and easy to maintain, more affordable than commercial printers of a similar category.

The Voron Design project itself is non-profit, and all designs are published under the GPLv3 license. People who work on it find joy in sitting in the workshop or at the computer in the evenings, designing, testing, and improving 3D printers, and selflessly helping thousands of other people build and operate Voron printers.

This group represents the community around the Voron Design project and is not affiliated with any manufacturer or seller of Voron printers.

While it is possible to approach the print quality of Voron on a well-tuned Ender or Prusa printer, Voron, thanks to CoreXY kinematics and advanced firmware, allows you to print much faster and in the desired quality.

The design of the VORON printer has never focused on achieving speed records (compared to some other leading community printers like HevORT, VzBoT, etc.), but on quality, print reliability, and continuous improvement. It is made from as many readily available parts from around the world as possible.
