A small practical cutter for shortening PTFE/Bowden tubes on 3D printers. We use it for cutting PTFE tubes because a clean square cut helps the tube seat properly in the fitting or hotend.
When it is useful
- cutting PTFE/Bowden tubes for 3D printers,
- extruder, hotend and filament-path maintenance,
- preparing a straight tube end without crushing it with pliers.
Why not use side cutters
Side cutters often crush the end of the PTFE tube or cut it at an angle. In Bowden paths and hotends this can create a gap, extra filament resistance or a spot where material starts to catch.
The cutter has a sharp blade. Keep out of reach of children.
