Vortek Hotend Change System: The H2C's Main Weapon

The H2C is the first Bambu Lab printer with the Vortek Hotend Change System. On the right side of the printhead sits a rack with 6 swappable induction hotends that the printer picks up automatically. The left side holds a single fixed standard hotend. Together this gives you up to 7 materials simultaneously with zero purging between heads.

  • Contactless magnetic swap: Hotends are attached magnetically, with no connectors. Power and data are transmitted via induction and high-frequency signaling.

  • Onboard hotend memory: Every hotend remembers the filament it was last loaded with. No mixing up materials, no manual re-assignment.

  • Expandable to 24 materials with AMS 2 Pro: Combine Vortek with AMS units for a full multi-material setup.
