What is Voron

Voron is an open-source project for developing 3D printers. It was founded in 2015. The founder of the project Maks Zolin (Russiancatfood) wanted to create a printer without compromises, reliable and easy to maintain, more affordable than commercial printers of a similar category. 

The Voron Design project itself is non-profit and all designs are published under the GPLv3 license. The people who work on it have found joy in sitting in the workshop or in front of the computer in the evenings designing, testing and improving 3D printers, and selflessly helping thousands of other people build and run Voron printers.

This group represents the community around the Voron Design project itself and is not directly affiliated with any Voron printer manufacturer or vendor.

While it is possible to approach Voron's level of print quality on a well modified Ender or Průša printer, Voron allows you to print much faster at the quality you want thanks to CoreXY kinematics and advanced firmware. 

The design of the VORON printer was never focused on achieving speed records(compared to some other leading community printers like HevORT, VzBoT, etc) but on quality, print reliability and continuous improvement. It is made with as many readily available global parts as possible.

Trident

It is the most pragmatic choice of the Voron family of 3D printers. It is a CoreXY printer of classic design where the gantry is fixed in the frame and the pad moves up and down on three threaded rods. The fixed gantry allows high print speeds to be achieved. Its assembly is less challenging due to lower structural complexity than the v2.4. The height scaling is limited in this model by the availability of high quality motors with integrated threaded rod.

Stainless Steel Linear Rails

No more worrying about rusty rails. Remember to properly lubricate your linear rails!

Toolhead PCB

LDO kit includes a modified Hartk toolhead PCB. In addition, LDO designed a toolhead breakout PCB to make wiring at the controller end simple and straightforward.

Brass Heatset Insert Tool

LDO included a custom machined brass tip for your soldering iron, use it to install heatset inserts with ease! Check here for more information.

Input Shaper Tool

Kit containes ADXL345 toolkit that includes all the necessary parts to help you perform input shaper calibration, hassle free.

Pre-cut & Pre-wired

Kit includes all necessary wiring: cut to the right length and pre-crimped or soldered to their respective parts. See detailed wiring guide here.

Touch Screen Display

LDO replaced the standard 12864 LCD with an IPS Capacitive Touch Display to use with KlipperScreen.

LED Lighting

Bring lighting to your Voron with included LED strips and all necessary wiring!

Nevermore Filter

Kit includes parts for an optional internal circulation filter: the Nevermore Micro V5 by 0ndsk4 (carbon pellets not included due to shipping restrictions).

Klicky Mod

Instead of the included Omron inductive probe, LDO also provides the parts to build your Voron using the optional Klicky Probe mod by jlas1.

Small Tools

LDO included a small set of hex wrenches for all the fasteners used in the build (Preparing your own set of good quality hex wrenches is still recommended). Also included is a small flat head screwdriver that is useful in a surprising number of situations.

2mm Drill Bit

Metric drill bits may not be very common in some parts of the world, so LDO included one. Use it to ream the filament path in your printed extruder parts.

Notices

• Kit doesn't include printed parts. These can be additionally printed by your own, ordered from our shop or use the Print It Forward community service.
• Kit doesn't include hotend. You are free to choose one that fit your need from our offer.
• Raspberry PI is not included due to a supply shortage
  In response to the current poor availability of Raspberry PI, we are trying to provide it in various ways and can add it to the kit. This is at least version 3B+ in the OEM package. This is our service to the community and its future members at a fair price.
