Fillamentum Timberfill cinnamon
Fillamentum Timberfill cinnamon
Fillamentum Timberfil is filament made of biopolymers containing fibers from real wood.
The printed objects have an authentic look and temporary smell of wood.
Thanks to the bio-sourced origin of the material, it is 100% biodegradable by industrial composting.
Timberfill is a material with a high quality of printing and an excellent lamination.
The material exhibits similar mechanical features as PLA. More

Timberfill filament is 3D printing material used for FFF (also known as FDM) technology. The input material is composed of different types of bioplastics and natural fibres obtained from wood. It is 100% bio-based and biodegradable in anaerobic conditions and in water. This material excels by high mechanical resistance and hardness. It offers great printing properties, layer adhesion and interesting surface appearance. The models printed from Timberfill filaments have real look of wood.
The material can be used for production of electrical and electronic equipment. It doesn’t contain the restricted substances. The use of the material in the food industry is not recommended. For filaments with fillers, Fillamentum guarantees dimensions within the tolerance +/- 0,10 mm, which are strictly controlled throughout production. It is recommended to use the nozzle of 0,5 mm in diameter.
Note: The colour tone can have a slight inaccuracy due to natural origin of the material
Features:
- Aesthetically appealing wood finish
- Aromatic and pleasant smelling during the printing process and short after
- Can be easily post-processed using standard sandpaper
- Possible to stain after printing
- Very low tendency to warp or shrink
- Can be printed well at high speeds
- Rigid, not easily bendable
- Low brittleness in bulk object
- Not abrasive
- Safe to use in electrical and electronic equipment
Print settings suggested by manufacturer
- Printing temperature: 165 - 185 °C
- Heated bed temperature: 40 - 55 °C
- Speed: 40 - 60 mm/s
- Part cooling fan: 100%
- Heated bed surface: PEI, mirror/glass, Kapton, Blue tape, LockPad
- Adhesive: Magigoo, 3DLac, PVA glue
- Raft / skirt / brim: skirt
- Heated chamber / enclosure: not needed
- Drying: 50 °C / 2-3h
Nozzle
We recommend using 0.5 mm nozzle for 1.75 mm filament and 0.6/0.8 mm nozzle for 2.85 mm filament for printing with Timberfill due to the fillers contained in the filament
Speed
It is better to use little bit higher speeds. Natural fibers may start to degrade/burn in slower speeds and that could lead into jams.
Storing
Airtight bag with desiccant.
In case of moist material, re-dry it in appropriate device. The conditions to achieve optimal level of moisture are 50 °C for 2–3 hours. Processing of moist filament may cause degradation of polymer chains, brittleness, poor layer adhesion, stringing, oozing etc.
