PolyMide PA12-CF is a modern printing material used in 3D printers, which combines the base polymer PA12 (also known as Nylon 12) with carbon fibers. This combination offers exceptional mechanical properties and thermal resistance, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.

PA12 is a variant of nylon, which is particularly known for its low sensitivity to moisture. This means that even when this material is exposed to a humid environment, it retains its qualities and doesn’t absorb too much water, which could weaken its structure. The addition of carbon fibers to PA12 enhances its strength, stiffness, and thermal resistance, making it a great material for high-performance tools, parts, and components that have to withstand extreme conditions.

One of the biggest challenges in 3D printing is warping and deformation of the material during printing. However, PolyMide PA12-CF has been developed with the Warp-Free™ technology, which means it minimizes warping and allows for smooth and stable printing.

Furthermore, it's important to note that while PolyMide PA12-CF is a high-performance material, it requires specific print settings and post-processing to achieve the best results. Before printing, it is important to familiarize oneself with the recommended temperatures and printing speeds, as well as potential drying and annealing of the material.

Recommendations by Hotend.cz:

Depending on the specifications of your 3D printer and the slicer used, the optimal printing conditions might differ. We recommend adhering to the manufacturer's temperature parameters and adjusting them to the specific needs of your device.

For those new to 3D printing, this material might be more challenging to set up. If you're looking for a more easily printable material, try PLA or PET-G.

Safety notice: Adhere to all safety recommendations from the manufacturer and print in a well-ventilated environment.
