PolyLight 1.0 - Innovation in the World of 3D Printing

Create lightweight, strong, and creative prints with PolyLight 1.0, a filament that takes 3D printing possibilities to a new level. Your projects will gain a unique look and optimal performance without compromises.

Product Usage

PolyLight 1.0 is designed to meet the demands of printers looking for a way to improve the weight and volume of their prints. Ideal for RC aircraft models, cosplay clothing, and other creative projects. Thanks to the activation of the foaming factor by heat, you can achieve unique and lightweight results.

Main Product Advantages:

  • Less than half the weight compared to regular PLA.
  • From one spool of LW PLA, you get double the material (more than 2 kg if you were printing with regular PLA).
  • Layers adhere very well to each other.
  • Foaming can be influenced by the extrusion multiplier.
  • Easy to sand and adhere with CA glue.
  • Excellent material for 3Dlabprint airplanes.
  • The material is non-transparent and dyes well.
  • Hides layers well.

Disadvantages:

  • Less rigid compared to PLA.
  • Lower glass transition temperature compared to PLA.
  • Foaming during printing causes a higher level of stringing.

Technical Parameters

  • Material: 3DLabPrint PolyLight 1.0 LW-PLA
  • Diameter: 1.75 ± 0.05 mm
  • Foaming Factor: 1-3x (depending on temperature and speed)
  • Glass Transition Temperature: 55°C
  • String Length: approx. 335 m

How to Print with PolyLight 1.0?

To achieve optimal results, we recommend setting the nozzle temperature between 210 and 250 °C and the heated bed in the range of 55 to 60 °C. The extrusion multiplier is key to influencing the foaming factor, so it's advisable to set it between 0.35 and 1, depending on the desired effect. To minimize stringing, use the spiralize vase mode or optimize the seam position.

However, be cautious when setting the extrusion multiplier, and we also recommend turning off retractions to avoid potential complications such as nozzle clogging. By using 3DLabPrint profiles for Prusa Slicer, you will achieve optimal results.

Packaging

PolyLight 1.0 is supplied in the standard diameter of 1.75 mm with an accuracy of ± 0.05 mm, ensuring reliable and consistent printing. Each spool is carefully packaged to protect the filament from external influences.
